専業主婦の高田愛菜（矢吹奈子）は、ある日突然、夫・宏之（荒井敦史）から離婚を切り出される。 「寄生虫」とまで言われ、職歴も資格もない自分が、ひとりでは生きていけない現実を突きつけられた。 途方に暮れ、偶然迷い込んだ税理士事務所で出会ったのは、数字と合理性を信じる税理士・岸本諒（飯島寛騎）だった。 容赦のない言葉に傷つきながらも、愛菜は初めて「働く」という選択肢と向き合い始める。 そんな矢先、岸本と一緒にいる時、宏之が見知らぬ女性と歩く姿を目撃。 平凡だと思っていた人生が、音を立てて崩れ始める。
