Following the revision of the curriculum guidelines in 2003 and the increase in students choosing correspondence high schools, the title was changed back to "NHK High School Course," and it was broadcast primarily for correspondence high school students at 107 schools nationwide, with the aim of being useful for self-study.

戦後の日本は、６００万人にのぼる兵士や民間人が、中国大陸や東南アジアから帰国、食料は、さらに不足した。ＧＨＱはアメリカ産の小麦などの食料支援を始める。闇市にできたラーメンの屋台はたくさんの人であふれた。安藤百福は「もっとラーメンを手軽に」との思いでインスタントラーメンを発明した。一方で、民主化と非軍事化が進められたが、冷戦体制の中、１９５０年には自衛隊の前身である警察予備隊が発足した。
